How is your decaf coffee processed?

We use a water processing method for our decaffeinated coffee. Water processing, also known as Swiss Water Process, is a natural and chemical-free method of decaffeination. Here's how it works:

1.Soaking: Green, unroasted coffee beans are soaked in pure, filtered water to dissolve the soluble compounds, including caffeine.*

2.Flavorful Solution: This water, now containing the coffee's flavors and oils, is passed through a special activated charcoal filter. This filter captures the caffeine molecules while allowing the flavors to pass through.*

3.Decaffeinated Coffee: The resulting decaffeinated coffee beans maintain their essential oils and flavors, resulting in a decaf coffee that retains much of the taste and aroma of its caffeinated counterpart.*

The Swiss Water Process is a gentle and environmentally friendly method, making it a popular choice for those who want to enjoy decaffeinated coffee without the use of harsh chemicals.
